Frictioning the Anterior Talofibular Ligament

It's easy to picture accidents that cause lateral ankle sprains, so it is no surprise that anterior ligament sprains are the most common cause of ankle pain. At least four different ankle injuries can be the cause, but swelling and/or tearing of the lateral-anterior ligaments top the list of these common ankle injuries. Once you have correctly assessed it, hands-on treatment is very effective.

In this 4-part course series, Dr. Ben Benjamin will cover 8 varieties of ankle sprains. You'll come away understanding the relevant anatomy and assessment for each of these conditions, as well as therapeutic techniques for those you can treat and referral guidelines for those you cannot. Toward the end of the presentation, Dr. Benjamin will answer questions submitted live by course participants. Most courses also feature supplementary instructional videos that can be viewed after the course. The time spent watching the videos and practicing the techniques will be included in the CE hours for these courses.
