Janet Kahn

Janet R. Kahn, PhD, is a practicing massage therapist, a research scientist, and a health policy analyst.  She has served the massage community as President of the Massage Therapy Foundation, Director of the Massage Therapy Research Consortium, and author of Research Matters, a regular Massage Magazine column from 2000-2006. She has worked to link the massage and research worlds for over two decades.

In 2011, President Obama appointed Janet to the Advisory Board on Prevention, Health Promotion and Integrative and Public Health.  She is faculty at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and Senior Policy Advisor to the Consortium of Academic Health Centers of Integrative Medicine.  For sanity’s sake, Janet lives in Vermont, by the shores of Lake Champlain.
