Fibromyalgia and the 'Invisible' Diseases » Fibromyalgia and Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Instructor: Ruth Werner

Fibromyalgia and Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Course 5 of the Invisible Diseases series will look at the third condition in this common triad, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The etiology of IBS makes it clear that this "digestive disorder" is, like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, more related to nervous system dysfunction than to any other physical problem. Signs, symptoms, treatment strategies, and the research that addresses massage therapy in this context will also be discussed.
