Instructor: Judith Delany
Neuromuscular Therapy American version is a form of myofascial manual therapy that is particularly effective for chronic painful conditions and for enhancing performance. It is comprised of precise and thorough examination routines for each body region, which address issues of ischemia, trigger points, neural entrapment and habits of use.
Conversely, NMT is not just the performance of the routines. NMT represents a clinical reasoning process that determines the choices made in the treatment room. Within the six lessons of this series, we will address how an NMT practitioner processes findings and arrives at treatment choices. The lessons are organized in the manner that NMT pioneer Judith DeLany addresses clinical cases. While manual techniques are laced through each of the lessons, the emphasis of this series is the development of clinical reasoning skills, which can be applied to any manual therapy practice.
